How Do You Check a Supplement's Batch or Lot Number?
To check a supplement batch number, find the lot code and expiry date on the bottle, then compare them with the listing and the seller's records. A code only links a bottle to a batch. It is not lab proof, and FDA cannot test every product (FDA public notification, hidden drugs (SexRx)).

What is a supplement batch number?
A supplement batch number, also called a lot code, is a short code that ties one bottle to one production run.
If something goes wrong, the code lets a seller trace which bottles are affected. It says nothing by itself about purity or dose.
How do you check a supplement batch number?
Check it in four steps: find the code, find the expiry, compare both with the listing, and ask the seller what the code covers.
Find the code
Look on the bottle label, the base or the box.
Find the expiry
Match it to the date in the listing.
Compare and ask
Ask the seller in writing what the code means.
Start with the Supplement Facts panel. Tap the numbered spots below to read each part.
Tap a number to read that part of the panel.
- Supplement Facts
The standard panel heading.
- Serving size: 2 capsules
A serving is two capsules, so the 1,200 mg blend is for both together.
- 30 servings per container
60 capsules divided by 2. Taking 1 a day would stretch it, but the label's serving is 2.
- Test Boost Proprietary Blend, 1200 mg
One total for everything below. The blend name hints at testosterone, but the label makes no testosterone claim.
- The eight lines
Horny goat weed, tongkat ali, saw palmetto, nettle root, wild yam, sarsaparilla, orchic substance and boron amino acid chelate, listed most to least by weight.
- Daily Value not established
No percent Daily Value exists for these lines, so none is printed.
- Other ingredients
Calcium carbonate, microcrystalline cellulose, sodium starch glycolate, stearic acid, magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide and a gelatin capsule.
- FDA statement
The standard statement: not evaluated by FDA; not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.
What are the SodaPeak lot and CoA numbers?
The seller references lot SOD-26/SO-2406 and CoA SOD-2406-26-SO. They are seller references, not lab proof.
The bottle images we have do not show a printed lot or expiry. The eBay listing prints an expiry of 07-2028 (eBay listing for SodaPeak).
| Detail | Value | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Lot | SOD-26/SO-2406 | Seller reference |
| CoA | SOD-2406-26-SO | Seller reference |
| Expiry | 07-2028 | eBay listing |

See packsDoes a batch number prove a supplement is safe?
No. A code is a label, not a test result. FDA found hidden drugs in some products sold as natural supplements, and it says it cannot test every product (FDA public notification, hidden drugs (SexRx)).
Ask for a lab report that names the batch, the lab and the tests run. Without that, the code proves little. See SodaPeak batch verify and testing and quality.

Listing prices, October 19, 2026 (eBay listing for SodaPeak). The listing prints prices for 1 and 2 bottles only, and import fees can apply. The seller states a 60-day guarantee; the listing prints 30-day returns. Compare the packs.
What if the codes look wrong?
If the codes look wrong or do not match, contact the seller first, then report the problem to FDA.
For SodaPeak, call +1 (302) 200-3480 with your order number. FDA's MedWatch program takes reports on supplements (FDA MedWatch, adverse event reporting). Do not use a bottle with a broken seal, and keep taking prescribed medicine.
FAQ01
SodaPeak questions people ask
Is a lot number the same as a batch number?
Usually yes. Both names are used for the code that ties a bottle to one production run. If a label shows two codes, ask the seller which one is the lot and what the other means.
Where is the expiry date on a supplement bottle?
It is often printed on the label, the base or the box. The SodaPeak images we have do not show one, so we cite the listing's 07-2028 and suggest you compare it with your bottle.
What is a certificate of analysis for a supplement?
A certificate of analysis is a lab report for one batch. Ask for one that names the batch, the lab and the tests. A bare code, like SodaPeak's CoA reference, is not the report itself.
