Stamina Supplement for Athletes: What to Look For
A stamina supplement for athletes is a product sold to support endurance or recovery, and no label can promise that. Athletes should check their sport's rules, look for independent quality testing and prefer short, fully measured ingredient lists. SodaPeak lists eight ingredients and prints no single amount.

What is a stamina supplement for athletes?
A stamina supplement for athletes is any capsule, powder or drink sold to help endurance, energy or recovery. Few of them have strong trials behind them.
The NIH fact sheet on athletic performance names creatine, protein and caffeine as the better-studied choices (NIH ODS, Exercise & Athletic Performance). It found no strength or lean-mass gains from several "testosterone booster" ingredients.
SodaPeak is not one of the studied products. Its bottle says "Supports Healthy Muscle*", and no trial has tested it.
| Product | Finding |
|---|---|
| Creatine monohydrate | Short-term use improved strength, power and repeated sprints |
| Protein | About 1.2 to 2.0 g per kg a day is cited for athletes |
| Caffeine | About 2 to 6 mg per kg can help performance |
| Tribulus, DHEA, androstenedione | No strength or lean-mass gains in trials |
How do athletes check a supplement for banned substances?
Athletes check a supplement by reading the whole label, looking for an independent seal, and asking their sport's anti-doping body before use.
Seals from USP, NSF International and ConsumerLab.com show that a product was quality tested. They do not show that it is safe or that it works (NIH ODS, Dietary Supplements: What You Need to Know).
We saw no such seal in the SodaPeak bottle images. The ten brand badges are seller claims, not certificates. See SodaPeak quality testing for each one.
FDA has found hidden drugs in products sold for sexual enhancement, weight loss and bodybuilding (FDA public notification, hidden drugs (SexRx)). "Natural" on a label does not protect a tested athlete.
Can an athlete read the SodaPeak label?
Yes, the label is easy to read, but it hides the amounts. SodaPeak lists one 1,200 mg blend of eight lines, so the first line can weigh at most 1,200 mg and the eighth at most 150 mg.
No caffeine or stimulant is listed. An athlete cannot tell how much of any herb is inside, so no line can be compared with a studied dose.
The bar below splits the 1,200 mg eight ways. It shows an even split, not a measured amount.

See packsWhich habits matter more than a stamina supplement?
Sleep, training load and food matter more than any capsule. Adults need 7 or more hours of sleep a night (CDC, About Sleep).
Fatigue that lasts for weeks has many causes, from anemia to sleep apnea, and a doctor can sort them out. Read who SodaPeak is for before deciding.

Should an athlete take SodaPeak?
Ask your team doctor or pharmacist first, and check your sport's rules. A tested athlete takes on a risk that cannot be measured when a product has no seal and no printed amounts.
Keep taking prescribed medicine. Saw palmetto has bleeding flags with blood thinners, listed in SodaPeak side effects.

FAQ01
SodaPeak questions people ask
Do athletes need third-party tested supplements?
Athletes in tested sports should choose products with an independent quality seal, because a seal is the only outside check on contents. Seals from USP, NSF International or ConsumerLab.com show quality testing, not safety or effect (NIH ODS, Dietary Supplements: What You Need to Know).
Can a stamina supplement cause a failed drug test?
It can if it holds an unlisted drug. FDA has found hidden drugs in some bodybuilding and sexual-enhancement products (FDA public notification, hidden drugs (SexRx)). We have no evidence of that in SodaPeak, but no independent test of it is on file.
Is creatine safer than a herbal stamina blend?
Creatine monohydrate is the better-studied choice, and its common side effect is water-retention weight gain (NIH ODS, Exercise & Athletic Performance). A herbal blend with no printed amounts has no such record. Ask your doctor before starting either.
Does SodaPeak contain caffeine for endurance?
No caffeine or stimulant is listed on the SodaPeak label. The Supplement Facts show one 1,200 mg blend of herbs, orchic substance and boron. No trial shows an endurance effect from it.
