When do import fees apply to a supplement from eBay?
Import fees apply mainly when the seller ships from another country. On eBay International Shipping the buyer is responsible for customs, duties and taxes (eBay, International Purchases and Import Charges).
You may pay them at checkout or on delivery, depending on the options shown. Estimates on a listing can change until you pay.
A seller in your own country usually avoids customs altogether. That is why the item location matters as much as the price.
How do you spot import fees in a listing?
Read the item location, the shipping line and the fine print before you pay. Each shows whether the parcel crosses a border.
| Listing detail | What it prints |
|---|---|
| Item location | India |
| Shipping | Free economy shipping from outside the US |
| Import fees | Paid by the buyer, amount not printed |
| Delivery window | Roughly late October to early November |
How much should you budget for a SodaPeak order?
Budget the listed price plus an unknown import charge. SodaPeak is $16.78 for one bottle and $30.20 for two ($15.10 each).
At 2 capsules a day, a bottle lasts 30 days, so the cost is about $0.56 a day for one bottle and about $0.50 for two. The planner shows how many bottles a stretch of months needs. Fees are extra and we cannot predict them.
You need 2 bottles. At the listing's 2-bottle price that is $30.20 ($15.10 a bottle).
Uses the listing prices: $16.78 for 1 bottle and $15.10 each when you buy 2. The listing prints no price for 3 or more, so larger totals assume $15.10 a bottle and are only an estimate. The listing's own page shows the final total.

The eBay Money Back Guarantee covers most paid purchases when an item does not arrive or is not as described (eBay Money Back Guarantee).

FAQ01
SodaPeak questions people ask
Who pays customs on an eBay supplement shipped from abroad?
The buyer does. On eBay International Shipping the buyer is responsible for customs, duties and taxes, paid at checkout or on delivery (eBay, International Purchases and Import Charges). The SodaPeak listing also says the buyer pays import fees.
Can the import fee change after I order?
Listing estimates can change until payment (eBay, International Purchases and Import Charges). After that, a carrier may still ask for a payment at delivery, so keep some room in your budget.
Does a US seller avoid import fees on supplements?
Usually, because the parcel does not cross a border. Check the item location on the listing, since a US country-of-origin line does not mean the item ships from the US.
